Baby Nurses/Newborn Care Specialists
Baby Nurses help the new mother with all aspects of care for a newborn baby, from feedings to washing clothes and keeping the nursery clean. Note:  The Baby Nurse is not responsible for care for the mother or for  any household duties outside of the nursery. These positions tend to be temporary in nature, with Newborn Care Specialists usually working 12-hour shifts for a job duration of 1-6 months. Salary: $200 to $300 per day.

Chauffeurs/Drivers
A Driver or Chauffeur is typically responsible for all aspects of driving the client and the client's family to and from daily activities and events. The Driver cares for, operates and maintains the client's vehicles. A Driver may have formal training as a Chauffeur and usually has prior experience as a professional Driver.  Full-time Drivers typically earn between $45,000 - $70,000 per year, plus benefits.  (The issue of benefits may be discussed at length with your Nanny's USA Placement Specialist.)

Chefs/Cooks
A Cook or Chef prepares detailed menus and food for most or all family members and for all social events. A Chef or Cook may also prepare meals for the household staff. The household Chef is responsible for any task that is food- or kitchen-related, including meal organization, preparation and presentation; clean up, shopping for all food-related items and menu planning. There are many levels of Cooks from the basic family Cook to the Culinary Institute-trained gourmet Chef. Annual Salary Range: $45,000 to $225,000.

Companions/Nursemaids

Companions/Nursemaids are responsible for assisting their employer in various ways.  Duties may include driving, traveling with the employer and accompanying him or her to certain events and appointments. It may also include some nursing care. Annual Salary Range: $31,000 to $60,000.

Dog Sitters/Dog Walkers

A Dog Walker or Dog Sitter is responsible to care for your dog while you're at work or while you're away. Duties include pooper scooper, pet taxi and more. Also included (but not limited to) may be: potty break, feed/treats, refilling water dishes, play time, snuggle time, petting time, cleaning up "messes"/litter box/cages, administering medications, group dog walks, field trips and other services which ensure that your home continues to look lived in while you are at work or away.  Rates range from $20.00 to $30.00 per hour.

Domestic Couples
A Domestic Couple is made up of two individuals (usually married) who work together as a team providing daily domestic and personal services for a household. Any combination of services are possible, based on the employer's property and service needs. Some combinations we see most frequently are Caretaker and Housekeeper, House Manager and Cook, Nanny and Houseman and Personal Assistant and Chef. Domestic Couple positions are almost always Live-in positions. Annual Salaries range from $65,000 to $150,000 plus benefits. (The issue of benefits may be discussed at length with your Nanny's USA Placement Specialist.)

Estate Managers/House Managers
Primarily a Chief Administrator, the Estate Manager assumes a leadership role in managing the staff and services for one or more homes. This may include interviewing and supervising contractors, attending to the proper care of automobiles, maintaining wine cellars, managing accounts and other functions as needed. Annual Salary Range: $60,000 to $160,000.

Governesses
Nanny's USA can help you with all of your domestic staffing needs. A governess is responsible for overseeing the children in just about every aspect of their lives - from helping with schoolwork to organizing play dates to shopping for children's clothes. This position usually requires a person with higher education, perhaps in the fields of Childhood Education or Nursing, and/or with teaching experience. Some clients may require a CPR and/or First Aid certificate. Annual Salary Range: $60,000 to $125,000+.

Housekeepers/Housemen
A Housekeeper is in charge of running the home.  This may include overseeing other employees, cleaning, doing the laundry, ironing, dusting, polishing silver, vacuuming and running errands. The position may also include some meal preparation and/or childcare duties. A Housekeeper usually "lives in". A Houseman is generally responsible for the heavy housework such as cleaning the hardwood and marble floors and vacuuming, as well as polishing silver and brass. He may be required to care for the front entry area of the house and the walkways. In a home where there is only a Houseman (and not a Housekeeper/Houseman combination), he basically does what a Housekeeper would be required to do. Annual Salary Range: $42,000 to $52,000.

Nannies/Babysitters
This childcare position is a little less formal than that of a Governess.  A Nanny is usually in charge of organizing and coordinating the children's activities, preparing their meals and keeping their rooms and play areas clean. He or she may have several years of college, or a degree, and many employers require a good driving record and/or a CPR or First Aid Certificate. Annual Salary Range: $20,000 to $80,000.

Personal Assistants
This person is responsible for keeping up with the social and professional agenda of an employer. Duties may include keeping track of the family schedule, booking reservations for various events, travel reservations, secretarial responsibilities, event planning, shopping and some running of errands. Annual Salary Range: $50,000 to $110,000.
